  • The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. See applicable tournament Notice to Competitors, Tournament Information, PBCGA Code of Conduct and PBCGA Pace of Play Policies for additional Local Rules. Complete text of Rules and Appendix I may be found in the current “Rules of Golf.” Unless otherwise provided, penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play. In the Rules of Golf, the gender used in relation to any person is understood to include both genders.
  • TEES: OPEN DIVISION – BLACK TEES | SENIOR DIVISION – GOLD TEES | SUPER SR DIVISION – SILVER TEES
  • FORMAT: 36-hole Individual Stroke Play. The competition will not extend beyond Sunday, July 30, 2023.
  • PLAY READY GOLF/PACE OF PLAY: An average rate per hole will be set for all PBCGA events. Each competitor's scorecard will reflect their allotted time per hole or "Time Par". All players must play without undue delay, which is defined as taking no more than 45 seconds to play a shot. A group will be monitored for pace of play based upon their time par and position on the course. It is the player's responsibility to recognize when they have fallen out of position.
  • Play is governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A, effective January 2023 and the PBCGA Terms of Competition. Disregard any local rules on the PGA Golf Club - Dye Course scorecard or any other posted local rules. In addition, the following specific rules apply:
Friday Two Man Scramble – Both players tee off on every hole. The team determines the tee shot they would like to play. Both players hit from the chosen position. This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The lie of ball may be improved. In improving the lie, the ball may be moved no more than one scorecard length from where it originally comes to rest and no nearer the hole. It may NOT be moved to a different cut (rough to fairway, collar to green) or out of a penalty area or bunker. Please note that you cannot change golf balls during the play of a hole.

Saturday Modified Alternate Shot (Chapman/Pinehurst) – Both players tee off on every hole. You then play your partners drive for your second shot. After second shots have been played, one ball is selected to complete the hole and that ball must be played alternately until holed out. Please note that penalty strokes do not affect the order of play. It is permitted to putt with either ball once on the putting green.

Sunday Better Ball – Both players play their own ball and the lower score of the partners is the score for the hole.
